Get Your PVC

My good people of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal Constituency, your Permanent Voter Card (PVC), is more than a piece of plastic. In Nigeria, it’s your official ticket to participate in choosing who governs you at the local, state, and federal levels. If you’re 18 and above and you haven’t registered, here’s why you should:
My good people of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal Constituency, your Permanent Voter Card (PVC), is more than a piece of plastic. In Nigeria, it’s your official ticket to participate in choosing who governs you at the local, state, and federal levels. If you’re 18 and above and you haven’t registered, here’s why you should:

1. It’s Your Voice in Governance*

Elections are how citizens hire and fire leaders. Without a PVC, you can’t vote, and without voting, decisions about your roads, schools, hospitals, security, fuel prices, and jobs are made without your input. Getting a PVC means your opinion counts.

2. Hold Leaders Accountable

When you vote, you gain the moral right to demand performance from elected officials. Leaders pay attention to voters because voters decide their future. A high voter turnout also makes it harder to manipulate results.

3. Influence Policies That Affect Your Daily Life

Think about electricity, youth employment, market conditions, university fees, and security in your area. All of these are shaped by policies made by the people you vote for. The PVC is how you influence those policies directly.

4. Protect Nigeria’s Democracy

Democracy only works when people show up. Low voter turnout weakens representation and gives a small group too much power. Registering and voting keeps the process inclusive and legitimate.

5. It’s Your Right and Civic Duty

The Nigerian Constitution gives every eligible citizen the right to vote. Registering for your PVC is the first step in exercising that right. It takes a few minutes, but the impact lasts for years.

6. Beyond Voting*

In some cases, the PVC also serves as a means of identification. While it shouldn’t replace your NIN or national ID, it’s widely accepted for basic verification.

My good people Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo federal Constituency, If you complain about bad governance but don’t have a PVC, you’ve opted out of the solution. Getting your PVC doesn’t guarantee change alone, but not getting it guarantees you have no say.

Registration is done at INEC offices and designated centers. You can also register on INEC website Cvr.inecnigeria.org
